Drum Majors
Whereas you would normally be judged on your appearance as well as your performance, for this competition you will only be judged on your performance, not your dress. So the answer is no, just appear smart!!!
If you don’t have an appropriate audio track of your own, we have identified a track which should be long enough for the Senior Drum Majors. Please download the track by clicking here…
Drumming
No. This year we have decided not to enforce the wearing of a uniform, even for Drum Majors.

It’s entirely up to you, you can stop after your march then start again and play your Strathspey & Reel. You can also retune between your March and your Strathspey. If you do stop, you should record your Strathspey and Reel on a separate recording, then upload your two recordings to the appropriate Events separately.
If you don’t stop, simply upload the same recording to both Events and we will take care of the rest.
No Problem,
If you did receive a confirmation email with your entry details, simply make a payment to payments@shottspipeband.com using PayPal. Add the competitor Name and the Event(s) you entered in the Notes.
If you did not receive a confirmation email with your entry details, start the entry process again and go through to completion, including the PayPal payment process, as it looks like the process was not successful and we have not received your entry.
NOTE: Please wait for a period of at least 60mins before re-entering in case we are just slow to respond.
Remember, we need to see the whole instrument and cameras should all be situated pointing towards the front of the contestant.

When you registered your entry, you would have received a confirmation email. Contained in the email was a series of links mid-way down the page. Simply select the correct link and follow the instructions to upload your video to our Servers. We will then check the video and forward it to the appropriate judge. Important: Please ensure, if you have entered multiple Events, a separate Video is uploaded for each event.

We have had some people reporting that they are experiencing difficulty uploading their videos from their phone. Unfortunately, we don’t have an answer for this problem. Seems to work for some and not for others. Any problems like this, please use a computer to upload and this should solve the problem.
Sorry this is out-with our control as we use DropBox for the uploads.
