Ewan McAllister

Ewan is a past member of Shotts and Dykehead Caledonia from 1978-1989, during which time he won every major championship including the World Pipe Band Championships. Ewan is the son of P/M Tom McAllister Jr. and the grandson of P/M Tom McAllister Sr. making him the third generation of McAllister pipers to have played in the band. Ewan runs his own companies Elite Control Systems Ltd, Asset Guardian Solutions Ltd and Elite Systems International Ltd along with his long time business partner Sam Mackay and he found his way back to Shotts in 2010. Today Ewan is an active supporter of Shotts and Dykhead Caledonia, and sits on the band’s committee as Chairman as well as being the band’s trusted drone tuner.
